IMAGINATION WAS AN R&B GROUP FROM ENGLAND THAT FIRST GOT MY ATTN. AT THE GREEK DISCOS (JUST AN ILLUSION) NOT HUGE IN THE USA ,BUT HUGE OVERSEAS. LEAD SINGER LEEE JOHN DID BACK UP VOCALS WITH THE R&B GROUP HEATWAVE I HAVE ALL OF THIER ALBUMS AND STILL HAVE THEM ON ALL MY PLAYLIST. If you have never heard them before, Check em out. I think you will enjoy, R&B Meets Disco + a bit of New Wave meets Smooth Jazz
LUTHERS BEST WORK. (IN MY OPINION) these two albums have some great deep tracks take a listen to DON'T YOU KNOW THAT AND A BETTER LOVE. the Bass of Marcus Miller is so sweet on these tracks. Classic Vandross!

OLD SCHOOL HITS ARE GREAT BUT THERE IS SO MUCH GREAT MUSIC THAT GETS FORGOTTEN.
Happy Birthday Luther APRIL 20th
Rappers Delight was a good song But The Run Dmc albums had the roots of what is called Rap Music Today. The album Raising Hell had more commercial success but these two albums came first and had the true Raw Run DMC sound! Back Then you never heard East vs. West...... it was just Rap Music. Fresh - Def Jam was Born
Nothing Comes Close & Nothing ever will. This Is the Best Michael ever. Some say Thriller...Not me. Off The Wall changed the game forever. The style , the moves, the music This Is The Perfect Storm. Forgotten Tracks like Girlfriend - a remake of a Paul McCartney and Wings song from the album London Town. And the smooth I Can't Help It track, Written By The Greatest singer song writer of all time Stevie Wonder. Quincy Jones and Rod Templeton Masterpiece ....Even in 2020 This Album is Magic from the A side to the B side not one let down.
The Stevie Wonder Album that i saved for....This album was a double album. I ended up getting it for christmas. The Double Cassette Tapes. Then later I got the album. I cherished it for years. Stevie is my all time favorite singer. I was so into "That Girl" that i played it over and over. So My Mom and Dad got me concert tickets to see my Idol in the round at Mckale Center in Tucson Az ( U of A ) basket ball stadium . At that time the new Stevie Wonder Album In Square Circle Had Just came out and was climbing the charts. Back Then Arizona failed to make Martin Luther King Day an Official Arizona Holiday. What a shame! Stevie said he wouldn't come back to Arizona if We didn't make it a Holiday..and even tho its a holiday now. Stevie hasn't been back in concert. I was lucky to get to see him.
Since 1979 -1990 I was into This group. the style of New Wave blended with Reggae made these guys different. Sting has that voice and style you instantly recognize as a solo artist or with The Police. And those drums > Man do I love to hear the drums by Stewart Copeland of the Police. I remember listening to Ghost in the Machine (album) over and over. Some of my all time favorite 80's Memories and flash backs always hits me when I hear King Of Pain. Deep Tracks Include Voices Inside My Head, Walking On The Moon, Spirts In A Material World. The Police was and is still The Shit - LOL
Like Most Djs Rap or Hip Hop is the inspiration or Genre that gets them into djing. I know EDM and High Energy Dance Music is the choice for the Younger Dj's, But for those of Us who have been In the Game for a minute. Got that call from scratching and battle style djing. The Sample was the KEY to alot of rap groups and hit songs. Like Can't Touch This ( super freak) and Ice Ice Baby ( under pressure) Tribe was different not just because of the great Rap crew but because of the Samples from all over the music world like Jazz and Rock made them Great. Midnight Marauders was their Best ( in my opinion) Deep Tracks : Lyrics to Go, Electric Relaxation

Nobody F'd with PE back in the day.......Nobody. Hell Chuck D had the KKK shaking in their boots .(JK) From Crazy ass Flava Flav as the hype man to Terminator X the Dj. Public Enemy Had all of Us blasting the BUZZZ TONE. and rockin the stop watch around your neck, Oh and the African Medlion. PE was the voice of Black Lives Matter way back in 88-89. It Takes a Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back was the PE Album to have. Although Fear Of A Black Planet came in with a bang. Just as the West started to rise with Cube , Snoop, and NWA. The East was held down by the Militant PE fighting the power ITNOMTHUB was my fav. My Flava Fav. Deep Tracks : Louder Than A Bomb, She Watch Chanel Zero.
